One tap to start. We match you against acquirers who already approve your kind of trade.
Fix going in hereToday the lead records __other instead of the chosen trade whenever anyone picks "Other trade" — that's 29% of leads, with a further 36% empty. Only 9 of 60 trades are tiles, so most visitors land in that path. The trade also drives Capital on Tap's businessCategory.

How do you take payments?
Pick one or more.
Are you a limited company?
Start typing and pick your company from Companies House.
Free data, no questions askedThe Companies House profile call (MerchantHQ only calls search + officers today) returns the registered address and incorporation date. That alone satisfies 4 of Capital on Tap's 19 required fields plus iwoca's trading_from_date.
Sole trader → iwoca still possible, Capital on Tap excluded outright — their businessType accepts limited companies and LLPs only.

Step 3 of 4 · Your numbers75%
Total monthly turnover
An estimate is fine.
£
You can also type a custom amount.
Do you currently take card payments?
Average transaction size (optional)
One money question, not twoMonthly card sales removed. It was a band rather than a figure, and the acquirer panel is already working from thin data — two-thirds of leads carry no usable trade. Total turnover is the number both lending partners need: without it iwoca returns worthless sample quotes and Capital on Tap rejects the application outright. Average transaction size and the current-provider answer still give the acquirer panel something to price against.

Step 4 of 4 · Your details100%
Last bit. How do we reach you?
We email matched quotes within 24 to 72 hours.
One last thing: do you also need funding or credit for the business?
Nothing is pre-selected. Your card quotes come either way.
Unchanged — one yes, both partnersThe question MerchantHQ already asks. A yes submits to Capital on Tap and iwoca together, so the visitor answers once and we run both. No product picker, no branching.
Which means the disclosure covers both — Capital on Tap won't touch their score, iwoca's check does leave a footprint. Saying that once, plainly, at the yes.
Capture stays first: the card-machine lead is written the moment this step submits.

Thank you
Your enquiry is in. A MerchantHQ specialist will be in touch within 24 hours with matched terminal and acquirer quotes.
You said yes to funding — two quick things
You're a limited company turning over £45,000 a month, so you can get a real decision now rather than waiting for a callback. Four questions, about a minute.
Or leave it — a specialist will cover it on the call.
Continuation, not a new askThey already said yes on the previous step, so this isn't a fresh pitch — it's picking up where they left off. The lead is banked before this screen renders.
If they'd said no, or the route evaluator ruled them out — sole trader, no company number, turnover too thin — this block never appears and the journey ends at the thank-you above.

Just a couple more things
We have the rest from Companies House and from what you've already told us.
Companies House gives us June 1985 for Sandbox Testapplicant — we just need the day.
Lenders check this against the director on record.
What's it for? (optional)
Capital on Tap: applying won't affect your credit score. You'll be approved on a soft search, subject to eligibility. A visible mark is made on your commercial file when you sign your credit agreement.
iwoca: iwoca will run their own check, which does leave a footprint on your file.
Down from five questions to twoTitle — not needed. Capital on Tap's salutation accepts Blank, proven in their sandbox (locator J686D33). Name split — derived from the name we already hold, or from the Companies House director. Mobile — already collected; we validate it and only ask if it isn't a mobile. Date of birth — Companies House publishes month and year for directors, so only the day is missing — and asking it doubles as a director-identity check. Term — dropped: it's optional to iwoca, and they returned both 12 and 24-month offers off a single request anyway.
⚠️ One dependency: our officers proxy currently maps only name, role and appointed_on — it discards the Companies House date_of_birth. Passing it through is a one-line change with no visible effect, and it has to land before this screen can say "we just need the day".

What's real hereBoth are live sandbox responses from today. iwoca is synchronous — offers come back on the spot. Capital on Tap is asynchronous: submit, get a locator, poll for up to five minutes, so the interface needs this waiting state rather than pretending it's instant.
Outbound only — the annual turnover sent to iwoca is monthly × 13.5. It is computed inside the iwoca client at send time and appears nowhere else: not in the lead email, not in Supabase, not on the partner dashboard.
